Dr. Amir Ali Abbasi and his research team based in National Center for Bioinformatics, Quaid-i-Azam University (QAU) have been selected by Higher Education Commission (HEC) for best research paper award. In 2016 the research group of Dr. Amir Ali Abbasi investigated the sequence evolutionary pattern and structural dynamics of the human gene.The Atta-ur-Rahman School of Applied Biosciences (ASAB) are the constituent colleges of National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST). ASAB provides education in Applied Biosciences, Healthcare Biotechnology, Industrial Biotechnology and Plant Biotechnology.Dr Yasinzai informed the gathering that as many as 490 applications were received for the four categories, out of which 52 were selected for these awards. He said 37 scholars won Best Research Paper Award, eight won the Best Young Research Scholar Award, one scholar clinched the Best Innovator Award, while six authors bagged the Best Book Award.
For “Best Book Award” applicant must be first or sole author of a Book published by a reputed publisher. For Best Book and Best Research Paper Award, the material must have been published in 2017; For “Best Young Research Scholar Award” the maximum age is 40 years on the date of submission deadline. Those who have received this award in.Best University Teachers Award Program was initiated by HEC in 2004 to improve the quality of education along with enhancing external and internal efficiency of university education.
In 2002, Temple University's Fox School of Business kindly agreed to endow an award for the best paper at the AIB Annual Meetings. All papers accepted for presentation at the AIB Annual Meeting through a double-blind review process are eligible for the award.
